Clinton Industries was started in 1967 by William Schaffrick to support the existing industry in the Elizabethtown, Ky. area with the ambition to help support a new manufacturing business, EMB Corporation that Mr. Schaffrick was starting to supply relays to the appliance industry. With the increasing base of industry in Elizabethtown and the huge success of EMB Corporation, Clinton was able to grow into the successful and dominating precision machining company it is today.
Adding tape reading CNC equipment in the early 1980’s and a Wire EDM machine in 1992 Clinton Industries was always ahead of the competition and with the constant addition of new technology it remains that way into the 21st century.
Mr. Schaffrick appointed his son Clint as president in 1994 and then in 1997 granted Larry Smith an opportunity of ownership with Clint to help with the continuing growth and success of the business. To this day, Clinton Industries continues to purchase and upgrade equipment to create the highest quality tooling and superior service that Clinton Industries has offered for the past 50 plus years.
